WHO
All residents who have matriculated into a USLME-accredited neurosurgical residency program within the United States from 2015 to 2022.

WHAT
Data was collected from several public domain sources including: Doximity, LinkedIn, Neurosurgical Program Website, US Census data and more.

WHY
INROAD was created as an easy-to-use interactive tool to share valuable recruitment and retention trends with prospective applicants and programs that may help to inform applicant decision making and assist in recruitment strategies.
HOW
Resident race was determined by examining photographs from public domain sources. A diversity index was created by comparing demographic characteristics of a state’s neurosurgical residency programs with the state's population demographics.
